Between 25/06/2025 and 30/06/2025, two youth workers from our organization took part in the “Sustainable in Nature” mobility activity held in Avola 🇮🇹, Sicily, focused on raising awareness and creating networks around the theme of sea pollution and environmental sustainability.

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore some of Sicily’s most significant ecological sites and initiatives. They were introduced to the work of the Sicilian Environmental Fund (SEF), learning about local strategies for protecting marine biodiversity, promoting environmental education, and engaging communities in sustainable development.

A meaningful highlight of the program was the visit to the “Si Può Fare” farm, a local initiative that promotes eco-agriculture, circular economy, and social inclusion through sustainable farming practices. The experience inspired dialogue around how sustainability can be implemented at a community level through innovative and inclusive methods.

Additionally, participants visited the Vendicari and Calamosche Nature Reserve, two protected coastal areas known for their rich biodiversity and scenic landscapes. These visits provided direct insight into the challenges and opportunities involved in protecting natural habitats from pollution and human impact.
