On 9 November our Bee the Future CYπŸ‡¨πŸ‡ΎπŸ team with the meaningful support of ONEK and Limassol Municipality, bring forward an inspiring educational action dedicated to food sustainability, responsible consumption, and community awareness. 🌱🀝

Our journey began at the vibrant **Sunday Fruit & Veg Market** πŸ‹πŸ₯¦β€”a place full of colours, aromas, and stories. There, participants had the chance to walk through the market, meet local sellers, and dive deeper into the *real path of food waste*. Together, we explored what happens to unsold and unwanted produce, how much of it ends up discarded, and most importantly, how much of it can be *saved*, *reused*, or *transformed*. πŸ₯•πŸ”„

Speaking with the vendors opened space for meaningful conversations about daily challenges, leftover quantities, donation possibilities, and practical ways to reduce waste at community level. It was a reminder that sustainability starts with understandingβ€”and that every seller, buyer, and citizen plays a role in shaping a more conscious food culture. 🌾❀️

After the market visit, we continued with an interactive workshop on rational use of food in the kitchen πŸ½οΈπŸ‘©β€πŸ³. Participants discovered creative methods for rethinking leftovers, smart storage strategies, and simple techniques to extend food life at home. From β€œcook once, eat twice” ideas to zero-waste recipes using peels, stems, and overripe fruit, the workshop empowered everyone with hands-on solutions to cut waste while saving money and supporting the planet. πŸŒπŸ’‘

✨ This activity was more than an eventβ€”it was a call to action. A moment to reflect, act, and commit to reducing the environmental footprint created by the food we throw away. When we **Save the Bite**, we save resources, energy, and the future of our communities. πŸπŸ’›

Big thanks to all participants, supporters, partners, and market sellers who welcomed us with open hearts and shared insights. Together, we take one more step toward a greener, more sustainable Cyprus. πŸŒΏπŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ύ
