Food waste is one of the silent crises of our time. Every day, tons of edible food end up in the trash while resources, energy, and human effort go to waste. Cyprus, like many other Mediterranean countries, faces significant challenges in managing food waste—from overproduction and improper storage to cultural habits that often lead to excess. The “Save the Bite!” workshop invites young people, community members, and educators to take action locally and rethink their daily food choices through the lens of sustainability, responsibility, and creativity.
