Call for Participants from Cyprus

Bee the Future CY is inviting three motivated participants from Cyprus to take part in the Erasmus+ Training Course “Reset & Recharge: The Science of Restoration”, taking place in Pamporovo, Bulgaria.

The training course is designed for people actively involved or interested in youth work, education, volunteering, community development and non-formal learning, with a particular focus on personal well-being, resilience and sustainable approaches to working with young people.

The project provides an international learning environment where participants from different countries can exchange professional experiences, explore practical methodologies and develop competences that can be transferred to their own organisations and local communities.

About the Training Course

Youth work and community-based education require continuous engagement, flexibility and emotional and professional commitment. At the same time, youth workers, educators and volunteers need to maintain their own well-being and develop sustainable approaches to their work.

“Reset & Recharge” focuses on the importance of restoration as part of sustainable personal and professional development. Through non-formal education methods, participants will explore practical approaches that can support well-being, resilience, reflection and balanced participation in youth and community work.

The training will combine experiential learning, interactive workshops, group reflection, peer learning, practical exercises and intercultural exchange. Participants will not only discuss the concepts presented during the course but will have the opportunity to experience and evaluate different methods from a learner’s perspective.

The knowledge and approaches developed during the training can subsequently be adapted to different educational, youth work and community contexts.

Objectives of the Training

The training aims to:

  • Increase participants’ awareness of the importance of well-being and restoration in youth work and education.
  • Develop practical competences related to resilience, self-awareness and sustainable participation.
  • Introduce non-formal education methods that can be used to address well-being with young people and adult learners.
  • Encourage reflection on personal and professional practices.
  • Create opportunities for international peer learning and exchange of good practices.
  • Strengthen participants’ ability to transfer learning outcomes into their organisations and local communities.
  • Encourage future cooperation and networking among participants and partner organisations.

Who Can Apply?

Bee the Future CY is looking for three participants from Cyprus who are motivated to participate actively throughout the full project.

The opportunity is particularly relevant for:

  • Youth workers
  • NGO staff and representatives
  • Teachers and educators
  • Social workers
  • Trainers and facilitators
  • Active volunteers
  • University students
  • Community workers and people involved in youth-related activities

Previous Erasmus+ experience is not a requirement. Applicants should demonstrate a genuine interest in the topic, willingness to participate in an international learning environment and motivation to contribute to the activities.

Participant Profile

Selected participants should:

  • Be 18 years old or above.
  • Be available for the complete project period, including travel days.
  • Have a good enough level of English to participate in international activities.
  • Demonstrate an interest in youth work, education, well-being, resilience or non-formal learning.
  • Be willing to actively participate in workshops, discussions and group activities.
  • Be open to intercultural learning and cooperation with participants from other countries.
  • Be willing to share relevant learning outcomes within their local environment after the project.

We are particularly interested in participants who can connect the training content with their existing work, studies, volunteering or community involvement.

Learning and Participation

The methodology of the project follows the principles of non-formal education and experiential learning. Participants will be encouraged to learn through doing, reflection, discussion and cooperation rather than through traditional classroom-based teaching.

Activities may include individual and group reflection, practical exercises, facilitated discussions, peer-learning sessions, creative activities and other participatory methodologies.

Participants will also have the opportunity to reflect on their own learning process and identify competences that can be further developed through the experience.

Follow-up and Local Impact

Participation in an Erasmus+ mobility is not limited to the international activity itself. Bee the Future CY encourages participants to transfer relevant knowledge and methodologies to their local environment.

Following the training, participants will be expected to contribute to at least one local multiplier or knowledge-sharing activity. This may involve sharing selected methodologies with colleagues, volunteers, young people or community members, depending on the participant’s background and local context.

The objective is to create a connection between the international learning experience and the needs of the local community in Cyprus.

Participants will also be encouraged to remain connected with Bee the Future CY and the wider international network developed through the project, supporting future cooperation and participation in European opportunities.
