Lake Bohinj, Slovenia
Bee the Future CY was represented by three youth workers in the Erasmus+ Training Course “Rethinking Youth Work Through Nature-Based and Experiential Approaches”, held in the inspiring natural environment of Lake Bohinj, Slovenia.
The training brought together youth workers from different European countries to explore how nature-based learning, experiential education and non-formal education can contribute to more meaningful, inclusive and engaging youth work.
🌱 Learning and organisational development
Throughout the training, our participants explored practical methodologies that can be adapted to youth work activities and local educational settings. The programme encouraged participants to learn through experience, reflection and cooperation, while examining how outdoor and nature-based environments can support young people’s personal development, well-being and active participation.
Key areas of learning included:
🍀 Outdoor and nature-based learning methodologies
🤝 Experiential and participatory approaches in youth work
🧩 Non-formal education tools for engaging young people
🌱 Learning through experience, reflection and cooperation
💚 Well-being and personal development through interaction with nature
🌍 Intercultural learning and European cooperation
🔄 From international learning to local impact
For Bee the Future CY, participation in Erasmus+ mobility activities is part of our wider commitment to continuous learning, professional development and quality improvement in youth work.
The knowledge and methodologies gained during the training will be shared within our organisation and considered for integration into future local and international activities. Our participants will also contribute to dissemination activities, allowing other youth workers, volunteers and young people in Cyprus to benefit from the experience.
The mobility also strengthened our international connections and created opportunities for future cooperation with organisations and youth workers working in related fields across Europe.
🎯 Why dissemination matters
Erasmus+ mobility creates value beyond the participants who take part directly. Through structured dissemination and follow-up, learning can reach a wider group of youth workers, volunteers and young people.
At Bee the Future CY, we aim to transform international learning experiences into practical local action by sharing methods, encouraging reflection and adapting relevant approaches to the needs of our community.
We are grateful to the organisers, trainers, partner organisations and all participating youth workers for creating a valuable international learning environment.
We return to Cyprus with new methods, new perspectives and new motivation to continue developing meaningful learning opportunities for young people. 🇨🇾🌱
